We're hiring a Mid to Senior UX/UI Web Designer with branding expertise to join our team immediately. This position is ideally full-time but with flexibility for negotiation, and offers leadership potential depending on your experience. 3-month probationary period.

About the role

We're looking for someone with branding expertise who can develop highly competitive website designs. We have 2 UX/UI designers on our team, and depending on your experience and profile, you could potentially grow into a leadership role.

As a Mid to Senior UX/UI Web Designer at Meaningful, you'll...

Web Design

  • Create visually stunning and functional websites for our clients from scratch
  • Transform outdated websites into modern, competitive digital experiences using your creativity and with minimal direction

Branding for Web

  • Develop comprehensive design systems from scratch with fresh graphic design that effectively translate brand identity into visual assets
  • Create cohesive visual experiences where logos aren't the primary focus . We occasionally develop simple logos from scratch or refine existing ones, but don't conduct extensive brand conceptualization processes
  • Our tech and startup clients value graphic identity but need someone who can reimagine their website with good judgment and creativity, bypassing lengthy traditional branding processes

Illustration & Animation

  • Create custom illustrations and animations (like Lottie files) to enhance websites and differentiate our clients' digital presence.

Potential Design Leadership

  • Depending on your experience, you may lead our small design team of 2 people and collaborate with stakeholders on design strategy and client presentations.

Client Communication

  • Communicate actively and assertively with clients on a weekly basis, providing updates on initiatives and discussing new design strategies. Present your work professionally in English during client meetings.

Time Management and Collaboration

  • Keep your work organized to meet deadlines while pushing back when necessary. Work closely with cross-functional teams such as development, content, and marketing to ensure optimal design implementation.

Keep learning!

  • Stay updated on industry trends, AI advancements and new design tools to continually improve your design approach and efficiency.
  • We’d love for this person to be curious and eager to learn how to use modern tools like Cursor, V0, and similar AI-powered or design-enhancing platforms.

Aside from the responsibilities outlined above, we'll help you identify your interests and development opportunities and integrate them into your role.

About you

You’ll be a great fit for this position, if you…

  • 5+ years of specific UX/UI web design experience in startup/tech/agency environments
  • Portfolio showcasing high-quality web designs
  • Experience creating design systems that effectively translate brand identity
  • Knowledge of web illustrations and animations (Lottie, After Effects)
  • Experience with Figma and relevant design tools
  • Excellent English communication for client video calls
  • Located in Americas time zones (San Francisco to Buenos Aires)
  • Available immediately for a 3-month probationary period
  • Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects
  • Quick learner who stays current with design trends

Nice-to-haves

We're looking for a designer with strong graphic web design capabilities who can also bring an "extra" skill. This extra can be any of the following:

  • Branding (preferred): Advanced skills in visual storytelling and brand expression
  • Webflow: Experience developing or coding in Webflow
  • Framer: Experience with Framer for prototyping and design
  • Illustrations/Animations: Skill in creating custom illustrations and animations for web

Additional valuable skills include:

  • AI tools like Cursor and v0.dev for enhancing design workflows and creativity
  • Experience optimizing registration flows and acquisition-related product elements
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge
  • Understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles
  • Project management tools proficiency

What's it like to work at Meaningful?

Here are the benefits of being part of our Meaningful team:

  • 100% remote. We've optimized our processes so that all team members can comfortably work remotely
  • Competitive salary in USD
  • Flexible working arrangements from part-time (minimum half-day for 4 days/week) to full-time (4, 4.5, or 5 days/week)
  • Laid-back Fridays with fewer client calls
  • Weekly English classes with a dedicated instructor
  • Professional development including mentorship, courses, and learning platforms
  • Performance bonuses for team leads (after one year)
  • Laptop financing options
  • Flexible PTO policy and team recharge periods

What does a typical week look like for our Designers?

Still curious about working at Meaningful? Here's a peek into our daily routine:

  • Mondays: We review the status of our projects, define weekly tasks, organize ClickUp
  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays: These are typically adrenaline-filled days with client calls and collaboration with various teams
  • Fridays: Client calls are rare, so it's more relaxed. These days usually consist of all-hands meetings, connect & chill sessions, English classes, 1:1 meetings, and organizing tasks for the following week.

It's important to note that at Meaningful, we operate on a weekly deliverable schedule for all clients. Unlike agencies with bi-weekly or monthly delivery timelines, our approach requires consistent weekly outputs, which can be demanding but keeps projects moving efficiently.

Typically, you would be managing 4-5 clients simultaneously, which means preparing weekly deliverables for multiple projects and adapting to different contexts and requirements.
